Holidays

I’ll definitely miss grandma, though I did not get to see much of her as I grew, memories of her when I was younger will always stay.

Whenever grandma visited, it was always a feast; her feast. No matter how much meat my sisters and I have had, no matter how little grandma’s meat was, she will always cut it into 4 extra tiny bits and share with the girls. You know how people say you can’t eat what’s already in a person’s mouth? It was not so for us.

She was always ready to help family and strangers. As a nurse, her consultation was free to those who came around. I remember I got to enjoy licking the white vitamin C because of her.

I’ll miss saying “Aho” to every single pleasantries cause it was the one thing that stayed from grandma’s language classses. Lol. Every phone call started with “Aho mama” no matter the time of the day or occassion.

It hurts that we grew older and we couldn’t experience her as much.

Goodnight, grandma. We’ll miss you.
